Now in our 75th Year we have served 4 generations of customers, Stark's Sport Shop has developed over the years into the most eclectic store in the area. We have a little bit of everything. From boats to hunting gear, wines & spirits, fishing and apparel, meats and cheeses. Come in and see us at Stark's Sport Shop
Randy Stark
As Owner & President Randy is the third-generation owner of Stark's Sports Shop here in Prairie du Chien Wisconsin.
Randy has been bringing great service to Stark's customer since he worked with his father Dick in the store.
Randy can be found on his off days spending time with his family, or fishing for bass or muskie or hunting for deer with his son Alex in our great Driftless area.
Ron Stark
Ron is the third generation Stark family bringing great service to Stark's wonderful clients. Whether you're looking for great bottle of bourbon or a well-tuned fishing rod, Ron has the knowledge and experience to offer the best service.
As a devoted Milwaukee Bucks fan Ron like taking in as much basketball during the basketball season
Alex Stark
Alex is the fourth generation of the Stark family to have worked at Stark's. Alex heads up all the advertising and marketing in Stark's and can be seen helping customers pick out a bottle of wine a new hunting gun or a new fishing boat.
Alex is a Certified Specialist of Wines, CSW, and needed to complete advanced courses on the intricacies, and subtle nuances of wines. We are very proud to have him be a member of our team!
When Alex is not at Stark's he can be found enjoying the river with his family and serves on the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce board.
Dede Stark
Deidre George-Stark has grown up in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, in a family owned business of grocery stores. She now works behind the scenes in the office with Ruger! Randy and Deidre started out as high-school sweethearts, and have been together ever since! Their children, Alex Stark and Abbey Stark-Nohr (of Waterford, Wisconsin) started working at the store when they were very young washing the boats, and picking up the parking lots! When Deidre is not at the store, she enjoys spending time with their 3+ grandchildren, volunteering in the community, and serving on the board of the George Family Charitable Foundation with her brother and sisters.
Ruger Richard Stark
Meet Stark's Sport Shop mascot, Ruger. Ruger can be seen nearly any day
helping" clients find the perfect meat and cheeses. He "speaks dog" loudly when kids of all ages come into the store and will beg for their attention! He takes his job of greeting customers very seriously from inside his "condo"! Feel free to stop and say "Hi!" to Ruger! Ruger, too, is a local Prairie du Chien-ite! He is an Irish Cream Golden Retriever and was born at Shihata's Apple Orchard! He was the runt of a litter of 11, but has quickly grown into a 75 pound puppy! Sometimes we mistake him for the polar bear.
Bill Fischer
Bill is our resident gun expert. So whether your looking for a new birding gun, skeet or deer rifle stop in and ask for Bill and he'll make sure you have the perfect gun for your next hunt, and as Bill always says, don't forget the ammo.
With 40 years of experience of selling boats, Bill has seen it all. Come in a tell Bill what you're looking for, his expertise will lead you in the right direction.
Chuck Clark
Service Writer, Chuck has been with Stark's Sport Shop for over 20 years now and has seen it all when it comes to boat repair and maintenance.
Chuck lives in Seneca, Wisconsin and can be will often be on the water in Prairie du Chein area and is on the Seneca School board.

Randy Platzner
Our master technician started in 1985. Thirty nine years later still going strong. His experience is unmatched.
He also owns and operates his own B&B Trickling Waters Retreat in Marquette Iowa

Taxidermy
Stark's Sport Shop, not just a store, but a tourist destination. Stark's has been a staple of Prairie du Chien Wisconsin, for over 75 years and one of our most popular parts of our store has been the taxidermied animals. Our display case houses dozens of animals large and small. But we don't stop there. We have a plethora and fish and wildlife around the entire store. Come by and see if you can count how many we have, we're not even sure ourselves how many there are.
